FAQ
Questions We Hear Often
Where is Law Office of Isha Singh located, and who do you serve?
We're in Chatsworth, California, in the San Fernando Valley. But we serve families throughout the state. Virtual consultations make that easy.
What does Isha Singh focus on?
Six areas: estate planning, wills and trusts, probate, trust administration, powers of attorney, and college planning. Nothing else. That focus is the point.
Is Isha Singh an experienced estate planning attorney?
Yes. She's been licensed in California since 2017, served as a partner at a prominent California estate planning firm, and has been named a Super Lawyers Rising Star in Trusts & Estates five years running, 2022 through 2026. Fewer than 2.5% of California attorneys get that.
Do I need a lawyer for probate in California?
Not always. But often, yes. As of April 1, 2025, California estates with qualifying assets over $208,850 (not counting the primary residence) generally go through probate. And if the primary residence is worth more than $750,000, that alone can trigger probate without a trust. We handle uncontested probate matters statewide and can tell you in one free call whether you need it.
What's the difference between a will and a trust?
A will says who gets what after you pass. But it usually still goes through probate. A living trust can pass your assets to your loved ones without probate, which often saves months (sometimes years) and real money. Most of our clients use both, working together.
How much does an estate plan cost?
We use flat fees for most estate planning matters, so you know the price before we start. Complex situations get an individual quote at your free consultation. No surprises.
Can I do my estate plan remotely?
Yes. Secure portals, e-signatures, virtual consultations, and digital notarization. You can complete your entire plan from home, anywhere in California.
